Wheeler believes the best way to initiate change is through traditional letters because e-mails are too easy to lose or ignore. Her reasoning is backed by proof, as letters written using her PurpleLetter.org service have received responses from President Barack Obama, Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden.
For a limited time, new PurpleLetter.org members who use the promo code “MYCAUSE” at checkout can write up to two letters; select recipients from the continually updated database of more than 200,000+ U.S. government representatives, public officials and media members; and get their first-class postage paid.
The two-letter credit (additional letters can be purchased) for first-time users can also be used to send the same letter to two people. Letters are mailed in double-window envelopes that read, “You Are the Recipient of a Purple Letter!”
The “MYCAUSE” code is only valid until the 10,000-letter limit is reached.
